Well...it's a little late, but Happy New Year, everyone! This past year has been a whirlwind of fun and I can't wait to see what the next 12 months will bring! With the new year, comes many new things from Baby Steps Studios. Client after client have been requesting a "digital collection" so you will find that as one of the new options, as well as the addition of a "sharing CD: with each and every collection purchased allowing you to share your photos on Facebook, email, etc. We will be unveiling all kinds of new things in the next few weeks including new accordion brag book sets, a VIP club, and much more! Please contact us now if you would like to schedule a session. We are currently scheduling for Jan, Feb, and March. Believe it or not, Spring will be here soon.

Sneak Peek: "Little E" {Columbus Baby Photography}

I met this little cutie back during the summer when we got together to shoot "Little E"'s 6 month session. It always amazes me how much these little ones grow up in 6 short months. "E" was so excited to explore the studio and play with just about anything she could get her hands on. Christmas beads, a hanger, and the weights for my backdrops seemed to be the favorites. :-) I just love how no matter how many new, fun toys are around...kids always want to play with random other stuff! We had a bit of a challenge to keep "E" in one spot but we did laugh the whole time! Enjoy!

CALLING ALL TEENS!!

I am shooting a cover of Columbus Parent Magazine on THIS Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 at Sycamore Creek Park. (Yes, it will be COLD but it's the only time that we can do it!) I need 5 teens for the cover so I am opening it up to anyone who can make it to be a part of the shoot. We will just shuffle teens in and out of shots to get a bunch of different options. Teens between 13-18 needed. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested in participating.

Sneak Peek: "Baby C" {Columbus Baby Photographer}

This was the second session in "Baby C"'s Milestones package and I must say...6 month old sessions are my favorite!! "C" was no exception. He is such an adorable, smiley, squishy little guy. Too cute!! I can't wait to see him again at 1. Enjoy, guys!

This was my third session with this family but this time they had a new addition to their adorable little family...please welcome 5 day old "Baby A" to the world. "Little C" was so excited to show off his new baby sister, his toys, his backyard, you name it! We even played a little dress up and let me tell you...I looked fabulous in his little cowboy hat! I always have such a great time with this family and this session was no exception to that. Congrats on your new arrival, guys!

Check out adorable 11 week old "Baby M"...one of the cutest little ones I have photographed in a while. Three month olds always present their own special challenges (wide awake, set in a schedule, etc.) but I always love the images from the sessions! Those big wide-eyed stares get me every time!

Sneak Peek: "Little W and the L Family" {Columbus Child Photography}

I love this family! We always have so much fun when we are shooting and this session was no exception. "Little W" is two years old this year and didn't let me forget that he is now a big boy and way more of a challenge than last year. I had pull out all the stops with him and let me tell you...it was SO worth it! I am so excited to share these sneak peeks! "W" is SUCH a cutie! He is a budding little A&F model in the making! "W"'s Mom works with my hubby at A&F. :-)

Sneak Peek: "Baby M" {BABY STEPS STUDIOS- Columbus Newborn Photographer}

Introducing one month old "Baby M". I had been looking forward to this session for the last several months after one of my long term clients called to buy a gift certificate for a baby shower gift. (Such a great idea, btw!) We had moved the session a couple times so when it finally came time to actually meet "Baby M", I was so excited! We had a great time shooting even though she REFUSED to go to sleep no matter how many of my little tricks we tried. :-( Super cute baby none the less, though. Enjoy!

Sneak Peek: "The F twins, M & E" {Columbus child photography}

I used to always say that I wanted twins and then after I had my own children, I quickly changed my tune. I have so much respect for parents of multiples because it has got to be so challenging to keep up with them. This set of twins was no exception! One year old twins, "M" and "E" certainly kept me on my toes! We had a few episodes of tears but for the most part, they were little angels though FIVE outfit changes including playing in the leaves, tutus, a cake smash, baths, and Christmas dresses! Amazing! It was tough to keep them both in one spot with "M" practically running and "E" crawling faster than most toddlers, but we did it! Enjoy!

Meet 3 week old "Baby E", one of my many recent newborn sessions. "E" was so adorable and cuddly. I think she was pretty fond of me too because she cried every time I put her down! That made it a little tough to photograph her but I can't complain about a baby who wants me to hold her! So sweet! We got a bunch of great shots out of the session despite to cuddling!

This little guy was such a cutie and reminded me of my son, Kyan, when he was this age. Such cute chubby cheeks, huge blue eyes, thick brown hair. :-) I first met "Little C" when he was just a couple weeks old for his newborn session. It's always funny to come back and shoot with kids again after almost a year because I still think of these kids as the tiny little babies that they were. My how time flies! "Little C" was napping when I got to his house and I think he wasn't too thrilled with us waking him up. He was so funny because he would not smile for ANYTHING!! Eventually, we got a couple cute smiles out of him which made Mom happy!

I can't believe "Little R" is already ONE!! These kids all grow up so quickly; it seems like just yesterday that I was shooting Mom's maternity session. "Little R" is right at the height of stranger anxiety so it was a little tough to get those adorable smiles at first but as soon as her brothers came over to make silly faces and sing songs, we were all set with smiles! "R" just adores her brothers! Enjoy!

This was such a fun day! I just loved seeing all of my former clients and meeting a few new faces as well. These mini-sessions worked perfectly because we are able to get those great shots to use for holiday cards and gifts without spending a ton of time with clothing changes and scouting out new locations!
