Sneak Peek: "Baby M" {Baby Steps Studios - Columbus Newborn Photographer}

For this session, we met up with seven week old "Baby M" and her parents in their neat urban loft, located downtown. She wasn't too smiley, but had adorable chubby cheeks, and was full of expressions. The weather work out perfectly for some shots outside, which turned out amazing with the whole urban type feeling.

Sneak Peek: "Little R" {Columbus Child Photographer}

We met up with "Little R" in the Short North for another shoot! The weather was beautiful and the temperature wasn't too unbearable. She wasn't too happy to have to sit down for a long period of time, but we managed to get her to cheer up, especially with a little help of a dog who's owner happened to be walking by us.

Casting Call: Expecting a baby, not shy, and love artistic shots?

I have a couple ideas floating around in my head that I would like to play with so will be posting casting calls for them in the next few days.

The first involves a newborn baby (5-10 days old) and two very willing and non-shy parents for a semi-nude shoot. The theme of this concept is PURE. Nothing porno or sexual in the nudity...just purity and bonding. Skin on skin shots with nothing to detract away from the bond of the family. These shots will be used on my blog and website. If you are pregnant, due in the next month or so, and interested in a shoot like this, please contact me. The session fee will be waived as my gift to you for letting me experiment.

Models Needed: School-aged Children for Back-to-School Shoot

I am looking for a few outgoing, photogenic children for a back-to-school photo shoot for possible use on a future cover of Columbus Parent Magazine. Photo shoot will take place sometime in the next week or two depending on our schedule openings. For participating in the shoot, you will receive a complimentary 8x10 of our favorite image. If your photo is selected to appear on the cove0r, you will receive a complimentary 11x14 of that cover image. You are not obligated to purchase prints from this session, however, images will be available for purchase approximately 2 weeks after the shoot.

Sneak Peek: "Baby E" {Baby Steps Studios- Columbus Baby Photographer}

I am so excited to share this session with you! My good friend, Sarah, came over with adorable "Baby E" for a one year birthday session on Friday. After rescheduling a few times due to icky weather, we opted for a studio shoot instead (Yes...I said STUDIO SHOOT! More on that later!). Sarah and I had this idea to have "E" all Punk Princess-ed out so I made her an adorable little tutu and matching hair bow. She wasn't nearly as thrilled about the tutu as we were, but the shots turned out super cute anyway! I LOVE the little emo-punk look that she is giving in her tutu shots! So totally "E"! I am working on her birthday invite so I may post it a little later...


















As I mentioned above, I am now offering In-Studio Portrait Sessions as well as On-Location Portrait Sessions. I am in the beginning stages of the home studio, so only select sessions will take place in the studio as we work out the kinks. I will be offering limited-time specials for In-Studio sessions soon, so keep an eye on the blog. The In-Studio session will not EVER take the place of On-Location shooting, so those of you that love the On-Location look...need not worry! The studio is just an alternative for those sessions that get rained out, clients who prefer not to shoot in their home, those with homes out of the Columbus Area, etc. :-) Contact me if you are interested in being one of the first guinea pigs to try out the new studio!

Sneak Peak: "The Y Family" {Columbus Family Photographer}

This was our fifth session with this family! This was a fun shoot. The kids were too cute, especially since they were all loving, kissing and hugging each other, something you don't think you'd see with a brother and sister! Later on in the shoot their parents pulled out their hats to go along with their adorable outfits. We managed to avoid ran, but we pulled out an umbrella and twirled with it.

I'm back!!

Wow that was a long trip! We logged in over 2500 miles in just 6 days to get from here to Portland, Oregon. We had a great time and took a ton of pics! I will post some of my favorites once I find some free time. I am still a bit jet-lagged and sleep-deprived right now! Thank you for your patience as I try to return all of the 247 emails and 20 voice mails that came in while I was gone! I am slowly getting through them all and will return each and everyone one as soon as possible. :-)

Sneak Peak: "Baby E"

Meet "Baby E," one of the cutest baby girls I've ever seen. We met up at Inniswood Gardens hoping that the weather would remain nice. We had a little bit of a scare with the weather since Mother Nature wasn't too happy and we had several storms in the area that morning. However, it worked out nicely and we had beautiful weather and sunshine to have a shoot with!

Sneak Peak: "Little N"

Blond hair, blue eyed "Little N" was a bundle of fun! She was a little camera shy in the beginning, but then her dad put on some music and she showed Amy and I how she boogie oggied. She's got more moves than I do :) Her two dogs decided to join in for the photo shoot and surprisingly sat there perfectly the whole time. After the shoot she and Mommy and Daddy took a trip to Kings Island. Hopefully they had a wonderful time!

Sneak Peak: "Little T & Little C"

While Amy is out of town enjoying her wonderful vacation out in the wild, wild, West, I (Andrea, her intern) will be filling in for her working while she is gone.

Meet sisters "Little T" and "Little C." This session was a lot of fun! Despite the hot weather and wind, it was a beautiful day. "Little T" and "Little C" were so adorable with their matching outfits. Their baby cousin came along for the shoot as well. They all made us tea and pie and toward the end of the shoot they all three wore cute yellow tu-tu's and enjoyed a big delicious lollipop. They will be expecting a sibling very soon!

Wild West...here we come!

Sneak Peek: "Mommy-To-Be A" {Columbus Maternity Photographer}

This was such a fun maternity session! I met up with "Mommy-To-Be A" and her hubby at their home on Wednesday for session one of the Little Miracles package. This couple was just so cute together! I got so many adorable shots of them just interacting together...even though they thought I was crazy when I told them to "act all lovey". It always makes the couple laugh together and look perfect! "A" is a school teacher so she wanted a "tame" version of my maternity sessions...which I think worked out well! Enjoy your sneak peeks, guys! I can't wait to meet little Gracyn soon!

Sneak Peek: "Baby L" {Columbus Newborn Photographer}

You will probably remember this gorgeous Mom from our maternity session a few months back. I was so excited to go shoot their newborn session this week. "Baby L" was in a pretty fussy mood but we were able to get some amazing shots in between fussy moments. They have such an amazing loft in downtown that just screams out for photo shoots! I can't wait to watch "Baby L" grow up over the next year!
