Sneak Peek: "Baby K"

I am so happy to share these sneak peeks with you. This is 9 month old "Baby K" who I have photographed since she was still in the womb. This was my sixth session in "K"'s home so we were hoping to get outside for a little bit but Mother Nature had another idea and dealt us some cold and dreary weather, so we had to stay inside yet again. We had a great time and got some great shots despite the weather. "K" was in such a good mood and was super smiley when I got there that we really could have quit shooting after the first 20 minutes! She is becoming quite the little professional model!

Getting back to business...

I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend. We went home to visit my parents and sister for a few days. We had a great time playing by the pool and relaxing for once! So, I am back home and getting back to work. I will be returning phone calls and emails all day so please be patient with me. For those of you waiting on proofs, your galleries should be posted by this evening. I will be posting sneak peaks later this afternoon. I have several orders that should be here today so I will get those packaged up and ready for delivery/pickup in the next day or so. Thanks again!

Sneak Peek: "The M Family"

This session was a little different from what I usually do. My good friend, "M", asked me to photograph her extended family at her nephew's 1st Communion. I don't normally do large family portraits but I can always make an exception for good friends.

"M"'s family was so much fun to work with. I have met them all before and have photographed them all once or twice before so it was a pretty laid back session. (They even fed me cake...who can complain when you get yummy cake?!?) We had a pretty chilly, windy, and cloudy day which made for some interesting shooting conditions but we made it through it without too many issues!

I am posting my favorites from the session including one of the group shots. I know the "The M Family" is anxious to see if we got a good one of everyone! The shot of 20 month little "H" on the bench was a completely un-planned shot. I was taking a couple test shots to see if I liked the look and he climbed up on the bench and started posing! It was too cute!

Sneak Peek: "Baby A"

Introducing six week old, "Baby A". My good friend "S" brought her adorable daughter "Baby A" to visit me this week. "S" and I have been friends since we were oh, 11 years old, maybe? She now lives in Cincinnati so we don't see each other much anymore so I was thrilled when she said she wanted to come up to have a session with me.

We got to hang out and catch up on each other's lives while playing around with "A" at the same time. "A" did a great job with the shoot...even with 4 outfit changes! She is just adorable and came with such cute little outfits and hair bows! Too cute!

Sneak Peek: "Twins- Baby G & G"

Boy, I have had quite a run of twins lately!

Meet one month old boys, "Baby G & G". These adorable little boys sure gave me a run for my money! I have no idea how you parents of twins do it! I had a hard enough time keeping up with them in the 3 hours I was there. :-)

The boys weren't super thrilled with laying next to each other so we struggled to get some good twin shots at first- think kicking, scratching, punching, name calling (okay maybe not name calling...yet!). Eventually we got them both to calm down and sleep TOGETHER! They were both just precious all cuddled up next to each other.

This session was a Mother's Day gift from Daddy, so...Happy First Mother's Day, "J"!

Sneak Peek: "Baby N"

Okay, I have made "N"'s parents wait long enough...meet 15 month old "Baby N". This little girl was so cute! She was running around everywhere, signing everything (she knows tons of baby signs), and posing for the camera as long as there were yogurt covered raisins involved! This session was a true test of my candid-photojournalistic abilities! I don't think she stopped running for longer than 2 seconds the whole time. We had a lot of fun chasing her around and snapping away! We even managed to get a couple "non-traditional" family photos in as well. Look closely at the photo of her looking out the window and you will see she is giving daddy a "smooch" through the glass! Too cute! You can stop checking the blog every 2 minutes to see the sneak peeks now, "A"!;-)

Sneak Peek: "Mommy-To-Be S"

Are you ready for a different take on a maternity session? My good friend "S" and I decided it would be fun to do a maternity session "S" style, so we gathered up a bunch of funky clothes and accessories and headed out to play. We had such a great time! "S" looked like she was having so much fun in her tutu, that I decided to put one on as well! Two grown women...dancing around in tutus...at 10am on a Wednesday morning...ah, the fun!

Anyway...it really was a lot of fun to think outside the box of what maternity portraits "should be". Any of you that know "S" personally, know that she is not one to follow the trend and this session definitely lived up to that mantra! It was so much fun! This just proves that maternity sessions don't always have to be indoors with wraps and drapes to be amazing. I can't wait to do another "alternative maternity session" soon! :-)
