Sneak Peek: "Baby B" {Columbus Newborn Photographer}

Meet newborn "Baby B"...only 6 days old for this shoot. We actually had to reschedule this session because little "B" decided that he wasn't quite ready to join the world as scheduled. :-) This whole family was so sweet and fun to work with. "Baby B" was so calm and willing to let me try just about anything with only one little cry the whole time. Older Brother "G" and older sister "C" even agreed to get in on the action for a couple shots. Enjoy!

Sneak Peek: "The H Twins, G and G" {Columbus Baby Photographer}

What a fun session (or sessions, I should say!) this was. I first met these little guys when I did their newborn photos a year ago. I almost fell out of my chair when Mom called to schedule an appointment for their one year session. I can't believe it has been a year already! "G and G"'s newborn photos are featured in my newborn photo book so I am so used to seeing them as tiny little newborns!

Due to the car break-in incident on Mother's Day, we had to re-shoot this session which ended up being a blessing. We got some amazing shots the second time around when there wasn't the constant threat of the clouds opening and pouring on us! These little guys were just so adorable with their own personalities shining through. One would look up at me with a huge smile while the other wanted nothing to do with me and vise versa! Ah...life with twin boys!

Sneak Peek: "Baby R" {Columbus Newborn Photographer}

This little guy was so precious!! He pretty much slept through the entire session no matter what I did to him. I just love it when newborn sessions work out this way. I was able to bend him and turn him and curl him without a peep! So, so adorable!! Enjoy your sneak peeks, guys!

Sneak Peek: "Baby W" {Columbus Newborn Photographer}

Meet newborn "Baby W"...just 11 days old for our session. "Baby W" was such a cutie with a head full of hair! He did a great job of letting me play with him for about an hour before he decided he wasn't too thrilled with me anymore.

Sneak Peek: "The H Family" [Columbus Family Photographer]

Please, everyone give a big round of applause to this family! When I found out that the Columbus Parent Magazine was doing a story on "non-traditional families", I knew I was going to try to feature a special photo for the cover. I searched long and hard for a good "non-traditional family" that would fit the bill. My good friend and longtime client, Shanna, mentioned that "The H Family" may be perfect for the shoot. It turns out, they were wonderful!

Marian is a single mother of two beautiful adopted girls from China, Kate (15) and Rachel (11). Kate wasn't too excited about being a model for an hour but she did a terrific job! Rachel is an aspiring model, so she was loving every minute of it! Keep an eye on the blog for the final Columbus Parent Magazine cover for the June issue. I should have it soon!

Thanks so much to Shanna, Marian, Kate, and Rachel for helping us out! "The H Family" will receive a complimentary 11x14 print of the selected cover photo as our way of saying thank-you!

My car was broken into...

I just wanted to let everyone know that our car was broken into yesterday (on Mother's Day of all days!) and they took everything. I have no phone, wallet, credit cards, ID, etc. So...if you have called me or sent me a text, I haven't gotten it. PLEASE email me at amy@babystepsstudios.com instead of calling the phone number. I am in the process of getting everything set up again but it will take a couple days. If you have left me a voice mail in the past few days that I haven't returned yet, PLEASE email me with your info so that I can contact you. I am so sorry for the inconvenience. Please bear with me as I sort this whole situation out. Thanks so much!

Also...this took place at the Pickerington Ponds Metro Park around 4:00 Sunday afternoon. It was a smash and grab job. They made off with over $1800 in charges on several different cards while we were canceling them. PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELVES!! I am always careful about leaving things in the car when I am in "iffy" places but this was in broad daylight in a Pickerington park. I thought we were safe. We were within viewing distance of the vehicle the whole time...we just weren't watching the car. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!

Sneak Peek: Columbus City Ballet School, Expo Performances

Being a former dancer (not that I was EVER this good but still...), I had a blast shooting the performances by the Columbus City Ballet School. These girls are just amazing! Here are a few of my favorites from the performances on Sunday.
