Please be thinking of us...

We are getting ready to head out this morning for Chasen's surgery. He will be having his adenoids and tonsils removed in hopes to alleviate his snoring, constant throat clearing, and heavy breathing. This will be his 3rd surgery (the first 2 were on his eyes) so he is okay with it, but this one will be a much harder recovery. We have stocked up on all kinds of jell-o, popsicles, and ice cream for this next week. He is excited to stay in bed and eat all his yummy goods while playing all the video games he wants, but having a very low pain tolerance is going to be tough. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers this morning and the following week as we get through this.

(I will be out of the office today and tomorrow with limited access to voice mail and email. I will return all messages when I can. Thanks for your patience!)

Sneak Peek: "Baby H" {BABY STEPS STUDIOS- Columbus Newborn Photographer}

Remember this adorable family from a couple weeks ago:

Well...welcome 3 day old "Baby H"! I was so excited to do this newborn shoot and luckily, when "H" was born 3 weeks early, I managed to fit him in right away. Dad is a firefighter and when the family mentioned wanting to incorporate his profession into the shoot, I was thrilled! "Baby H" wasn't nearly as thrilled about the idea, but he played along for a couple shots!

Sneak Peek: "Little E" {BABY STEPS STUDIOS- Columbus Child Photography}

Meet 16 month old "Little E"...an adorable little girl with the most expressive big brown eyes I have ever seen! "E" wasn't feeling well for the day of our shoot so it took a little more effort to get those toothy grins and giggles, but with a combo of Elmo, finger puppets, Yo Gabba Gabba, and dancing, we got a few! We kept the session short so "E" could catch an early nap (and to prevent her from running away screaming next time she sees me!). Hope you are feeling better "E"!

Teaser for Kyle- Class of 2010 Rep {Columbus Senior Photographer}

Just a quick share of Kyle's senior session this evening. Despite being yelled at and called every name in the book by a drunk-schizophrenic-homeless man, it was a great time! You can view more of his shoot on The Next Step Studios Blog.

Sneak Peek: "Baby H" {BABY STEPS STUDIOS- Columbus Baby Photographer}

This little guy was so adorable! "Baby H" came into the studio with his mom for the first of his three sessions from the Milestones package. He had just turned 13 weeks the day before the session so he was right on track. We put him to work with as many "pushing up" poses as he would allow...with many breaks in between. That "pushing up" business is hard work for a little guy! "H" had such big beautiful eyes and the cutest little whisps of hair in front and back. I can't wait to see how this little guy grows over the next several months!

Sneak Peek: "Mommy-To-Be G" {BABY STEPS STUDIOS- Columbus Maternity Photographer}

This was such an amazing session! "Mommy-To-Be G" came in to the studio with her husband and two adorable little girls for a maternity session this week. This whole family was so beautiful and so much fun to shoot with. "G" was up for anything and let me experiment with some new ideas I have been throwing around. The girls did a great job with their part of the shoot and then settled down to enjoy their chocolate chip cookies...one of the many perks of shooting in-studio! I can't wait to shoot with this family again in a few weeks for their newborn session. Keep your eyes on the blog! Enjoy!

Sneak Peek: "Baby N" {Baby Steps Studios - Columbus Baby Photographer}

Meet "Baby N," an adorable blue-eyed cutie who just celebrated his first birthday! This was his second session with us. You may also recognize this little man from the May issue of Columbus Parent Magazine, my goodness has he grown! He was so happy and energetic, and was crawling everywhere. I can't wait to see him at his next session (:

Sneak Peek: "Mommy-To-Be T" {Baby Steps Studios - Columbus Maternity Photographer}

You might recognize these two little cute girls, "Little T" and "Little C," from a shoot we did last month. Their beautiful mommy-to-be is expecting her third little girl! They couldn't be happier to be getting a baby sister. This was "Mommy T's" first shoot in the Little Miracles Package. She looked absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to meet "Baby M" when she arrives!
